Audio Engineering

    
     

 
The audio engineering course is intended
for musicians/home
recordists who wish to gain an  understanding of multi-track hard disc recording. You will learn how to record your own songs as well as for other musicians and bands.

You will learn the basics of microphones, external effects, putting up live sound, on the spot live recording of our concerts, theatre plays and musicals when we are on tour around Denmark.


The school is equipped with its very own professional studio with Pro Tools LE 8, Reason 4, Mac G5, iMacs, Soundcraft GB2, studio monitors, headphones and quality microphones that are found in the music industry for both live and studio.

As a sound technician, you have the possibility to set up live professional concerts at the Musik and Theatre house and go on tour with the music and singing line.
you will learn how to make front of house sound on a Soundcraft MH2 40 channel console and monitor sound on a Midas Venice 320, a 32 channel console. We use a split system which enables us to work seperatley.
Our aim is that you will experience studio recordings, live concerts, mixing and CD productions. It is an intensive course.

You will also participate in different and interesting workshops and watch relevant
documentary films regarding recording and sound
. There is a library of dvds, recording magazines and books available for you to indulge in.

Music history, theory & ear training
Along with the music and singing students you will have hours in music
theory, rhythmical training, and music history. It is important to sharpen your skills, so you have the best possible result in the working environment.

You also have the opportunity to develop your hearing skills via audio eartraining exercises.
